About AmateursVideo
What AmateursVideo is building, the rules behind the index, and why the site is deliberately small while rights and consent are verified.

What we are
AmateursVideo is an independent, creator-first index of amateur video. The premise is simple: people often know the moment they want before they know the title. A timestamped index is more useful than another wall of autoplaying thumbnails, and it gives the creator a destination instead of a copy.
The site is pre-launch. The guides and the creator application are live. Video listings will open only when the creator, the rights, and the consent record for that work have been verified.
What we are not
- We are not a tube site. We do not publish a catalogue of unlicensed scenes.
- We are not a paywall bypass. We link to the creator’s own page, not around it.
- We are not a growth-hacking product. We do not sell subscriber counts, engagement pods, or “guaranteed” reach.
- We are not an AI-generated content farm. Every published page is reviewed by a person.
The rules we hold ourselves to
Rights first. If we cannot document a licence, the media does not go up. Consent first. Every performer must be an adult with a documented consent record. Honesty first. We do not publish a metric we cannot measure, including our own traffic. Where a number appears, it has a source and a date.
These rules make the catalogue smaller than a conventional tube site. That is the point. A page that survives a rights challenge is worth more than a thousand that do not.
How the site is funded
The project is currently self-funded. We have not announced a pricing model, and we will publish one before any paid feature goes live. We will not fund the site by hosting unlicensed media or by selling placement in the index.
