How to send a copyright or consent takedown notice to AmateursVideo, what happens after you send it, and how to appeal a removal.

The short version

Email dmca@amateursvideo.com with the URL and a description of the problem. We disable the listing first and review the details afterwards. You do not need a lawyer or a specific form to ask us to remove something.

Our designated copyright contact is dmca@amateursvideo.com. Include a postal address in your message if you need one for your records; we will reply with the operator’s current postal details. We are finalising a permanent registered-agent record and will publish it on this page when it is complete.

What a formal notice should include

A notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) should contain the following. If you are unsure, send what you have and we will tell you what is missing.

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed, or a representative list.
  • The exact URL or URLs on amateursvideo.com that you want removed.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the owner.

Copyright is not the only basis for removal. If you are a performer and you want a listing taken down, email us from an address we can verify. You do not have to prove a copyright interest, and you do not have to explain why. We treat performer requests as urgent.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge your message and disable the URL while we review it.
  • If the notice is complete, the listing stays down and we record the removal.
  • If we need more information, we tell you what is missing.
  • If a listing was removed in error, the uploader can send a counter-notice; we explain the process in writing.

We do not publish a response-time guarantee we cannot keep. We do aim to action clear removals the same working day.

Repeat infringement

We keep a record of substantiated notices. A creator or source that receives repeated valid notices is not eligible for listing, and existing listings are removed.
