Editorial policy
How AmateursVideo writes, sources, reviews, and corrects its guides, and the standards we apply to adult content.
Last updated
What we publish
We publish explanatory guides about amateur video, creator discovery, rights, and consent. The guides are written for adults and assume no prior knowledge. They are not legal advice and they do not replace a lawyer’s review of a specific situation.
Sourcing
A factual claim needs a source a reader can check. We prefer primary material: the statute, the platform’s published policy, the creator’s own page, or a documented record. When we rely on a secondary source, we name it and link to it. When a question is contested, we say so instead of flattening it into a confident answer.
Numbers
We do not publish a metric we cannot measure. That includes traffic, subscriber counts, conversion rates, and “average” earnings. If we cite a third-party figure, it carries the source and the date. If we do not have a number, we say we do not have it. This rule exists because invented statistics are easy to write and corrosive to trust.
AI use
We may use software to check spelling, structure, or links. We do not publish an unreviewed machine-written page, and we do not use AI to invent a quote, a case, a creator, or a statistic. A person is accountable for every page that goes live.
Adult content standards
The site is for adults. We do not publish material involving minors, apparent minors, non-consensual acts, or hidden recording. We do not publish a listing without a documented rights basis and consent record. We do not use a misleading thumbnail to promise a scene that is not in the source.
Corrections and updates
Every guide carries a “last updated” date. If a fact changes, we change the page and the date. If you find an error, email hello@amateursvideo.com with the URL and the correction. We do not silently rewrite a page to hide a mistake; substantive corrections are described in the page or its change note.
Independence
We do not accept payment for a positive review, a ranking, or a place in the index. If a commercial relationship ever exists, it will be disclosed on the page where it is relevant. Creator applications are reviewed on rights and consent, not on spend.
